My niece was on my computer last night when I went to work. I came home this morning to an infected computer. Even trying to google "Titan Shield" redirects me to their webpage. The only thing I've been able to find is something stating that its similar to SpyAxe.

Hi, Burt. Welcome to the 2-Spyware.com forums!
Titan Shield is a clone of the infamous corrupt spyware removers SpyAxe, SpywareQuake, SpyFalcon, etc. It is illegally installed to user computers by the same-named trojan. The Titan Shield parasite displays fake warning messages, hijacks the web browser and attempts to download the same named corrupt spyware remover. Furthermore, it can restart the infected computer without asking for user permission.
The 2-Spyware.com research team is currently working under Titan Shield manual removal instructions. They will post them as soon as possible.

GTO, I'm at work right now. I'll download the Hijack program when I get home in the morning and post my log.
For the record, my son got me infected with SpyAxe last winter, and this is behaving very similar. I think whoever designed it went a step further this time, however. In addition to letting me access my Task Manager, it wont allow a system restore either (I havent tried that, but I read in another forum where someone did). |

PLEASE help me, I'm having the same problem........Titan shield has hijacked my computer , I downloaded spyware doctor but it wont start, it says something about: error while creating the scripter; A script engine for the specified language can not be created.
I tried running spybot and adaware but they dont seem to be getting it..or they get it but the malware reinstalls...PLEASE HELP

I used the SmitRem program and so far havent seen the problem return. Doesnt mean it wont, but so far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed. |

The smitRem tool completely removes the Titan Shield parasite. Running smitRem in Safe Mode eliminates the infection. |
