Hello everyone. I recently just found this site on Google while trying to get rid of this crappy spyware stuff. I have looked in other threads and I going to post a fresh HijackThis analysis log which is after having used SmitRem and Killbox. This is a followup scan of my system right now. Thanks for the help, guys.
EDIT: Forgot to mention I've scanned with Ewido as well.

Hello, visitor!
The Hijack This log analyzer has analyzed your log. Please take a closer look on the results.
Your system seems to be infected with malicious parasites. Please follow the steps below in order to eliminate the infection and clean up your computer.
1. Download the Pocket KillBox utility. You will need it later to delete parasite-related files and folders.
2. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SpyQuake2.com] C:\Program Files\SpyQuake2.com\Spy-Quake2.exe /h
3. The following entries are not malicious, but some of them are not used anymore. You may use HijackThis to fix a few of them. However, please keep in mind that some of the entries marked as Questionable or Not Needed are fully legitimate and might be required by installed software to work properly, while some others might be related to certain parasites. It is up to you to decide whether you need any of them, or not.

4. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!
5. Use the Pocket KillBox utility to delete the following files:
C:\Program Files\SpyQuake2.com\Spy-Quake2.exe
The following files and Windows registry entries are marked as "unknown". Currently, the HijackThis Log Analyzer cannot provide required information on these items. The files and entries in the list below can be both malicious and fully legitimate. Because of this, please do not take any action! Wait for the forum responders or other forum users to provide you with necessary details and further instructions.

After going through all the steps, run another HijackThis scan and post a fresh log to the HijackThis analyzer. It is possible that some parasites your system was infected with were not removed completely and may restore themselves later.

Hi, Tackalt. Welcome to the 2-Spyware.com forums!
Please follow these steps:
1. Download the latest version of the smitRem tool. Unpack its files to a chosen folder.
2. Download Pocket KillBox or KillBox utility.
3. Use HijackThis to fix the following entries:
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {348FE907-249E-4C65-A838-F34A193FE1D1} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {873eb32d-ae1a-4183-89bd-45a77f761be4} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ixt0.dll
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {4E7BD74F-2B8D-469E-D0FC-E57AF4D5FA7D} - (no file)
O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {CBCC61FA-0221-4ccc-B409-CEE865CACA3A} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [690d02f1.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32\690d02f1.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [690d02f1.exe] C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Local Settings\Application Data\690d02f1.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Aeen] "C:\PROGRA~1\PPPATC~1\chkntfs.exe" -vt yazr
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Iywlj] C:\Program Files\?icrosoft\wowexec.exe
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: wbsys.dll C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: wingsa32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\wingsa32.dll
O20 - Winlogon Notify: WRNotifier - WRLogonNTF.dll (file missing)
O21 - SSODL: cinnamomum - {93ac7c30-3878-4eaa-9420-7977285df5b1} - (no file)
4. Now restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!
5. Once in Safe Mode, run the smitRem tool by executing the RunThis.bat file. The smitRem tutorial can be found here.
6. Then use either Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following files:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\690d02f1.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\services.dll
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\wingsa32.dll
C:\Program Files\?icrosoft\wowexec.exe
C:\PROGRA~1\PPPATC~1\chkntfs.exe
C:\Program Files\Common Files\{DCB02130-0E0B-1033-0322-050512050001}\Update.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Matt\Local Settings\Application Data\690d02f1.exe
Also, delete the following directories:
C:\Program Files\?icrosoft
C:\PROGRA~1\PPPATC~1
C:\Program Files\Common Files\{DCB02130-0E0B-1033-0322-050512050001}
7. After you get done, restart your computer, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here.
If the above steps will not work, you will have to download the SmitFraudFix tool, restart your system in Safe Mode and run a scan. The SmitFraudFix guide can be found on the official web site. |

Still Hijacking, but Norton is now directing it away before I get to the site. No pop-ups recently, either.

Hi, Tackalt.
Please do this:
1. Use HijackThis to fix the following entry:
O20 - Winlogon Notify: wingsa32 - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\wingsa32.dll
2. Restart your system in Safe Mode. This step is very important!
3. Once in Safe Mode, use either Pocket KillBox or KillBox to delete the following file:
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\wingsa32.dll
4. Reboot your computer. Update ewido anti-malware definitions and run a complete system scan. Remove all the threats the application will find.
5. After you get done, run new HijackThis scan and post a fresh log here. |
