You can get Spyware Doctor for free using the google pac.

I the best way to remove virus is just roll back to a restore point before the computer was infected.

I have no idea how I even got the Vista Internet Security, but I can tell you it was extremely annoying, and it took me days of aggravation to figure out how to do it, and then I found your site. I cannot thank you enough! God Bless you!

I cant comment on the rest of the steps. but the instructions to fix your executable instructions in the registry did work.

Once you have access to your executables again, its merely a matter of running your fav. AV program or manually removing the infected files.
