However, it's rather traditional anti-spyware than all-in-one solution. Some might not like this, but in our opinion, a combination of several powerful stand-alone tools is much better than one bloated security suite. SpyHunter scans the Windows registry, running processes and web browser cookies. It thoroughly examines all the files on each local hard drive. The application provides several scan modes. It can be set to scan the entire system, perform a quick scan or check user-defined locations and selected system components. Scan engine utilizes unique techniques that allow removing difficult spyware and malware that some competitive products cannot even find. Scan reports are informative enough. The program displays full paths to malicious objects detected and provides plain parasite descriptions. The spyware remover uses an extensive spyware definitions database updated on a regular basis. Currently, it contains almost 30,000 signatures of different security and privacy threats. SpyHunter is a very user-friendly application, so it doesn't come with plenty of additional utilities and extra functions that most of us never use. There are only a few tools. RollBack Manager allows restoring accidentally removed objects. Exclusion Manager can be used to force the application to ignore certain objects or suspicious programs. Repair Internet Connection restores active Internet link corrupted by spyware. The application's user interface is intuitive, attractive and very easy-to-use. In early 2004, SpyHunter was blamed for producing false positives and using aggressive advertising techniques. This resulted in a lot of BAD SpyHunter reviews published. Some of them were harsh, but fair, while others were simply ridiculous. We confirm that SpyHunter was promoted aggressively by some affiliates, but all them were eventually banned by program makers in late 2004. Early SpyHunter versions had some obvious drawbacks. I am waiting for new spyhunter to see if it is getting better. Although for the moment i would stick to spyware doctor.

On here the SpyHunter is very highly reguarded, but on TopTenReviews, SpyHunter matches Mcafee Antispyware in overall ratings. How ever, SpyHunter has a better detection rate, but Mcafee Antispyware has a better feature set.

AS TIME GOES ON ITS GOTTEN SLOWER AND SLOWER, I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A SLOW SPYWARE PROGRAM. BY ALL MEANS THERE COULD BE SOME THAT ARE SLOWER, BUT I HAVE NOT SEEN THEM. I AM READY TO JUMP OUT OF MY SKIN!

Yea SpyHunter has been at 100% for at least 5 minutes now.
Meaning the blue box had reached the end.. and nothing is happening.
The files are being scanned very slowly.

SpyHunter seems to take a very long time to scan files.
I had Spy Doctor and that worked really well, but it keps having shutdown problems.
No Spyware or Virus Scan Program can detect what is wrong with my computer, or why it freezes every 5 minutes for 30-40 seconds at a time.
Error Doctor seemed to find the most problems of all these programs.

All three mentioned sites made their review to the old version of spyhunter and never retested it. additionally adawarereport gives highest reviews for the programs who pays highest commissions. Download.com is full of false users reviews, Spyhunter never had any spyware or adware in it. That also dirty tricks of competitors. So reviews there are old and not accurate.

spyware search and destroy detected "dpwnload accelerator plus ads". its the only 1 that detected it, but it can not remove it. do u have any suggestions?
