Hi. This toolbar called FileShareFanatic toolbar, somehow installed itself on my computer. I am 100% I did not do it, nor any of my roomates did. So how did it end up being there? I believe that by the time this toolbar appeared on my browser, my homepage was changed, too. Now it is set to be ask.com page. I want to fix this. How do I do that?

The FileShareFanatic Toolbar did not install itself on your computer. Most likely you did it, but you just do not realize it because you probably do not know how such potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) are spread. FileShareFanatic Toolbar is usually distributed with other free programs, so you probably ended up with this PUP on your system if you installed any other free program recently. You probably have installed the program without paying attention to important installation steps. Some freeware programs promote PUPs by concealing their existence under the "default/standard/basic" installation modes. To avoid installing hidden components, you need to opt for Advanced or Custom settings and deselect the agreements to install the suggested attachments.
To remove the ask.com homepage and to get rid of FileShareFanatic Toolbar, you need to uninstall the FileShareFanatic Toolbar virus from your computer. To learn how to do that, we suggest reading this article: How to uninstall FileShareFanatic Toolbar?
