Hello, I somehow downloaded a trojan torrent I believe and now my Chrome browser keeps popping up pop ups. It also shuts down unexpectedly after some minutes. Then when I want to open it, it disappears so I have to click many times to open it.
I believe I downloaded a file containing a trojan virus and I’m having problems with Chrome browser. It keeps on having unnecessary pop ups and sometimes it would shut down unexpectedly. Then when I tried to open it, it won’t open. I’ve tried Windows Defender but it didn’t detect anything. But I used AdwCleaner and it said to clean up the computer. I don’t want to clean my computer. Can you please help me to remove this virus without rebooting it?
HackTool:win32/autoKMS is essentially a crack tool used to bypass the licensing process of the Windows operating system or MS Office suite programs. Please refrain from downloading such tools in the future, as you could infect your computer with ransomware or other devastating infection.
Despite this, if your anti-virus detected it, it does not necessarily mean that it was, in fact, a computer virus. Security software detects cracks, keygens, and similar tools based on their functionality. Its removal is highly advised, however.
Your Google Chrome problem seems to be an unrelated issue. We advise you to perform scans with alternative security software, clean your web-browser data, and delete extensions. You could also reset Chrome.
Good luck,
