What is ransomware virus?

The secrets of ransomware virus has been named after the email address presented in the ransom message of this virtual infection[1]. It scares users with an elapsing-time clock. After the indicated time runs out, the files are said to be deleted. Such common technique is prevalent among the majority of ransomware threats. Even if malware has entangled your computer, it is unwise to foster hopes that the hackers will return the files. That is why it would be better to concentrate on the elimination of this infection. More information about removal is provided below.

At first glance, this malware may not look like a highly destructive infection. However, after taking a better look, more features are disclosed. The virus operates on the same basis as other crypto-malware. It infects users via spam emails or trojans. Safe Anonym14 malware needs time to fully execute its command. After several minutes, when it finishes encrypting files, it opens up its ransom message with the instructions. It also reveals other email addresses along with the main one:,,,,,, etc. The names of the email address refer to Russian websites[2].

The picture illustrating is one of the numerous email addresses associated with this virus.

On the other hand, such manoeuvre might be an attention diversion from the real location of the botnet[3] or another form of the source. According to currently obtained data, the ransomware lands on a system mainly via trojans. On the other hand, it is only a matter of time when it shifts to other distribution methods. At the moment, malware demands 100 USD in exchange for the encrypted data. It is understandable if victims decide to comply with the demands in the hope of retrieving the files. On the other hand, note the fact that in 2016[4]. Therefore, it is futile to hope for the felons to retrieve the data. Do not waste time on empty hopes and remove instead.

When did this ransomware get into my PC? hijack might have taken place after you opened an infected spam email[5]. Bear in mind that the felons will attempt to win your trust by attaching a legitimately-looking attachment. Usually, they disguise the malware in invoices or tax reports. Even if the sender might seem to be a legitimate company, do not rush to extract the contents. The malware also spreads in the forms of trojans: Trojan.MSIL.gen.a.1, Trojan.Zusy.D27131, Win32:GenMaliciousA-VFO. Improve the security of your system by combining an anti-virus utility and malware elimination program. Their presence will help you lower the risk of the hijack. In the case of the already infected device, they will exterminate the infection.

How to prevent from getting ransomware

Stream videos without limitations, no matter where you are

There are multiple parties that could find out almost anything about you by checking your online activity. While this is highly unlikely, advertisers and tech companies are constantly tracking you online. The first step to privacy should be a secure browser that focuses on tracker reduction to a minimum.

Even if you employ a secure browser, you will not be able to access websites that are restricted due to local government laws or other reasons. In other words, you may not be able to stream Disney+ or US-based Netflix in some countries. To bypass these restrictions, you can employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN, which provides dedicated servers for torrenting and streaming, not slowing you down in the process.

Data backups are important – recover your lost files

Ransomware is one of the biggest threats to personal data. Once it is executed on a machine, it launches a sophisticated encryption algorithm that locks all your files, although it does not destroy them. The most common misconception is that anti-malware software can return files to their previous states. This is not true, however, and data remains locked after the malicious payload is deleted.

While regular data backups are the only secure method to recover your files after a ransomware attack, tools such as Data Recovery Pro can also be effective and restore at least some of your lost data.
