Claro Search Virus. How to Remove? (Uninstall Guide)

Why does Claro Search virus infect computers?

Claro Search virus is an extremely disturbing and annoying computer parasite. It silently enters user's computer system and adds itself to the most popular web browsers. On top of that, it changes default search engine, homepage, and new tab page settings by entering mixidj.claro-search.com or isearch.claro-search.com URL. At first, it seems that one or another URL simply presents a regular web search engine, but we are afraid that everything is much more complicated than that. This search engine is designed to combine organic search results with sponsored ones and serve them for the user. Third-party advertisers who sponsor Claro Search browser hijacker wants to promote their web pages via this search engine, and it seems that authors of this potentially unwanted program (PUP) rush to allow them to do so. Sadly, they probably do not endorse content these third-party companies share on their sites because some of Claro Search results have rerouted us to sites that seem potentially dangerous. Some of them suggest participating in shady surveys, and others advertise software or updates. Be very careful when you encounter such offers! They can be filled with questionable components or even malicious files that can mess up your computer system.

It seems that Claro Search has decided to change its name because now the previously mentioned URLs automatically reroute the user to isearch.babylon.com. This search engine is developed by Babylon Software and can appear in your browser after installing Babylon Toolbar. Beware of such potentially unwanted programs - remove Claro Search or Babylon Toolbar and adjust browser's settings in a proper way. We also haven't mentioned that sponsored search results presented by these vague search tools might be based on your browsing habits. Did you know that browser hijacker type programs can spy on your browsing activity and find out what websites you visit, what ads do you click on, what you search for, and even more? Well, you definitely do now. If you are already thinking about Claro Search removal, we suggest using Reimage or another reliable anti-malware software for it. It is going to wipe all spyware and malware related components from your computer for good.

Claro Search hijack can hit computers of users that are unaware of it. We have noticed that many computer users lack of knowledge about spyware and malware distribution methods, which is quite sad. However, if you are reading this information, you are one step forward already. Potentially unwanted programs can enter your computer together with shareware and free programs, such as gaming software, bogus updates and the like. If it gets on the system, it infects all the browsers it finds and then changes some settings in the registry that allow continuing its unwanted activity. As a result, the user finds severe difficulties when trying to reach favorite websites or simply search the web. If you are experiencing such problems, your PC probably has been infected by this browser hijacker. Here's what you should do in order to remove this threat from the system.
