Something got into my gmail accounts and changed all the dates to 1969. I’m using chrome. There were a bunch of extensions on my chrome account that I didn’t put there. I removed them, but now I can’t get my gmail. Thanks.

You describe the situation similar to one of the versions of Gmail virus. The intruder may affect various browser parts but the installation of Chrome extensions and plugins is the secondary symptom of the intruder.
There are tons of versions in this virus category from scams to even severe malware but the biggest issue regarding Gmail virus is the distribution, suspicious behavior and difficulty removing the malware.
Uninstalling browser content manually is not the solution for malware infiltration because the main program is not found on your Chrome or the Gmail itself.
You need help from professional tools like anti-malware programs. The full system scan performed using this type of program can show all possible intruders and remove them from the machine. Unfortunately, there is a risk of getting your account hacked, so use Google Account Recovery features and try to change passwords for your accounts.
Then you follow up with malware removal from the computer and other devices. Read more about this threat in the article linked at the beginning of this answer and follow our malware termination tips.
