Hi! Now I understand that I got infected with malware. My homepahe and search engine have been replaced by Internet-start.net out of the blue and then i have noticed suspicious links and ads showing up while I’m browsing. Simple question – Can it be that clicking on Internet-start.net links and getting redirected to unfamiliar websites caused installation of viruses?

Internet-start.net is not a malicious infection. Nevertheless, as security experts have noted, it's a browser hijacker and PUP. Most probably you have installed it in a bundle with other free software. In this case, it's very likely that your computer is infected with more than one PUP.
Since you ask about Internet-start.net redirects and the effect that they might have caused, then the answer to your question is yes. Clicking on the links and advertisements that Internet-start.net hijacker displays is ricky since they are monitored by third parties and contain unverified content. Therefore, to remove all the malware, viruses and PUPs that may be hiding in your computer, we would advise using SpyHunter or another trusted anti-malware. That's the easiest way to heal your computer just performing a couple of steps.
