I’ve read recently that Google updated their security policy and now targets to block websites which contain fake download buttons. The article said that they implement Safe Browsing. But I ran into the website of “Safe Browsing” which somehow gives me suspicion. I’d like to you comment on this. Thank you.

It is classified as adware. Thus, it may stuff your computer with unnecessary and potentially malignant programs. In addition, it may attempt to change your current homepage and search engine. All Google products have its unique logo. Lastly, take a look at the privacy policy of the program you are bout to install as well.
