My external hard drive got affected with sglh ransomware.
Most of the files in the drive have an extension of sglh
i tried to decrypt the files after removing the virus using emisoft tool but it says something like “has an online id”
Any help would be appreciated.

This virus that you are dealing with is a version of the Djvu family that is now not decryptable because of online IDs. The decryption is only possible when files get locked using offline keys.
The answer that you got means that data is not decryptable. You should go read this Sglh virus removal guide for alternate methods and additional helpful tips. You, at this point, can remove the virus and recover files using data backups.
