Hey! I recently had my pc infected with CrySiS but my friend managed to remove it. Now all that I’m, left with are the encrypted files, which are practically useless. Im wondering what can be done with them. Shall I try recovering or simply delete them? Aren’t they infectious themselves? Any suggestions?

We are sorry to hear your files have been encrypted by CrySiS As long as you have removed the virus from your system, there are 3 options you can go for:
1. You can try decrypting the files using data recovery tools. We recommend: PhotoRec, R-Studio or Kaspersky virus-fighting utilities
2. You can wait until the CrySiS decryption tool is released, though it may take a while.
3. You can simply delete the files from your computer.
Either way, you choose, do not forget to stay protected and scan your computer with a reliable antivirus scanner, such as FortectIntego before trying to recover the files. If you still have any difficulties, do not hesitate to contact us.
