Remove Shopper Pro (Updated Guide)

removal by Jake Doevan - - | Type: Adware

Should I download Shopper Pro to my computer?

If you are thinking about installing Shopper Pro, you should know that this browser extension is deemed as a potentially unwanted program (PUP) and “adware.” According to PC security experts, this ad-supported extension is trying to earn the money for its developers by initiating various marketing campaigns letting them generate pay-per-click income. However, we should warn you that, because of Shopper Pro virus, you may find yourself on a suspicious website seeking to increase the number of its visitors. Besides, these redirects can be very disruptive and can also lead your browser to crash. Thus, if you have recently noticed shopperpro64.dll running in the background and suspect this adware to be hiding in your machine, run ReimageIntego and perform Shopper Pro removal without a delay. At the moment of writing, this adware concentrates at Google Chrome web browser and, according to the most of its victims, fails to leave this browser. If you want to uninstall Shopper Pro from Chrome, make sure you use the latest version of SpyHunter anti-spyware.

How can I get infected with Shopper-Pro PUP?

Shopper Pro adware has been tested for a long time. The latest its version is called Shopper Pro 3, which can be downloaded from the official website of this browser plugin. However, it has also been found that this is not the only way that is used for spreading it. You can also become a victim of Shopper Pro hijack after installing some freeware or shareware. Beware that it can be a quite popular download manager, media player, PDF creator, and so on. However, it doesn’t mean that you have to stop using free applications to avoid this or other adware-type infections. In order not to waste your time with Shopper Pro removal, you should download freeware as carefully as possible. Please, do NOT agree with optional components that are typically offered once you select Advanced/Custom installation settings. Also, stay away from Quick or Recommended installation options to prevent optional software and its installation without asking you permission for that.

How does this adware work?

Questions about Shopper Pro

As noted earlier, Shopper Pro belongs to the ‘adware’ group. So, it’s not surprising that once installed it initiates various system changes and starts generating advertisements. In most of the cases, it hijacks each of web browsers (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari) and then starts showing pop-up ads, banner ads, in-text links, interstitials, pop-under ads, full-page ads, and other intrusive forms of advertisements filled with both commercial and non-commercial content. The majority of the “Ads by Shopper Pro” and “Shopper Pro ads” inform about the latest discounts, price comparisons, sales and similar things. Unfortunately, but clicking them puts you at the risk, no matter how interested in those deals you are.

Besides, it’s important to stress the fact that Shopper Pro displays its ads by using a specific technique. To make them engaging, developer of this adware relies on tracking cookies that are set to collect and send information like search terms, mostly viewed pages, clicks in certain websites, PC’s IP address, location, etc. to remove servers. Consequently, third party advertisers can prepare ads for each user personally and make Shopper Pro ads appealing. This tactic does work since people fall for clicking on them more frequently. Therefore, we highly recommend you to remove Shopper Pro from your computer because the longer you keep it installed, the more data can leak, including the details that you may not be keen on sharing.

How can I delete Shopper Pro virus from my computer?

First of all, let’s discuss Shopper-Pro prevention. As you may have already understood, you should be very careful when downloading free software from unknown sources. Pay attention to the developer, read End User’s License Agreement, Privacy Policy, and similar information and dedicate some time on the examination of the freeware. Besides, don’t be lazy to monitor the entire installation process of free software and stay away from Custom or Advanced installation option!

To remove Shopper Pro permanently, we would recommend using a powerful anti-spyware. That’s because it will help to remove all potentially unwanted programs, malicious/unwanted files, and even viruses. Thus, even though the add-on itself can be removed from the system manually, you are not recommended to do that. That’s because you can skip some of the related files and the primary executable of this adware and leave it uninstalled. If you checked the Internet, you could find such phrases as “Shopper Pro won’t uninstall” that clearly reveal what are we talking about.

You may remove virus damage with a help of ReimageIntego. SpyHunter 5Combo Cleaner and Malwarebytes are recommended to detect potentially unwanted programs and viruses with all their files and registry entries that are related to them.

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.

Just want to say thank you for this tool! Ive been fighting this stupid thing for the past 36 hours and was getting REALLY frustrated. Even after running malwarebytes (great program too) and superantispyware (also excellent) I still had this shopper pro issue, and my “uninstall” would NOT uninstall. I downloaded your “Spyhunter4” tool and at this moment its 95% complete and it has found over 1700 threats!!! Ones that the other two did not recognize. Shopper pro has 184 files on my system, and groovorio has 698. Thats just two of the 29 main programs that were installed on my system! All because I wanted to watch Game of Thrones and dont have NetFlix or HBO! I hope this works, 1700 infections!!!! CRAZY!

I, too, have been fighting this parasite.
If I ever meet the people responsible for this … I WILL MAKE SURE THAT THEY CAN NEVER DO THIS TO ME OR ANYONE ELSE AGAIN! Do they really think I would be happy to have this installed in my computer? Then do they really believe I would ever use their ads to buy something from them? Do people really buy anything from them? Ever?
    *** Rant complete ***
I have followed the above courses of action, as well as a couple other helpful suggestions.
Uninstall appeared to do something, but the shopper-pro icon remains in the programs list with no data for the size of the program anymore.

Has anyone tried to use the restore to a previous recovery point?

i assume that shopper pro has been updated and now appears to be even more tricky. I mean that it is not even installed and cant be removed from add/remove programs. I assume that to get rid of those ads, pee yuuh, you will have to install anti-malware. Hope will get fixed soon. I had this pest and i know what does it mean to have it.
