LinkSwift is also known as LinkSwift Ads | Type: Adware

LinkSwift is a potentially unwanted application or, in other words, an adware, which displays continuous pop-up ads. They are typically filled with the information about discounts, prices or coupons, and have a link where you can find the offer. In reality, you can't be sure that this program seeks to help you save the money – it may simply reroute you to related website that seeks to increase its visitors number. In addition, some of these sites may be truly infected or cause privacy related issues. LinkSwift is compatible with all main Internet browsers, so it may show you its ads no matter which browser you use. If you are annoyed by its commercial notifications, that mostly are filled with doubtful information, you should remove LinkSwift from the system without any delay.

HOW CAN LinkSwift GET INSIDE COMPUTER?

LinkSwift is mostly spread using unfair distribution methods that rely on freeware and shareware. Beware that you can prevent infiltration of this or other free addition by monitoring freeware's installation process and unchecking all check boxes that warn about such downloads or system's changes. As soon as it gets in, adware adds its own add-on to all browsers that are installed on the system, including Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and other browsers. After that, it starts showing its adds that notify 'Powered by LinkSwift'. If you have negative associations of this program and you want to get rid of Powered Ads, you should remove LinkSwift from your computer. For that, use this guide:

What is adware?

Adware is a program that displays advertisements while people are browsing online. Advertisements appear in a web browser, pop-up windows, special toolbars or within the host program. Adware also can gather information about user’s habits and interests. Once it collects what it needs, it sends it out through a background Internet connection. Such behavior allows adware vendors to deliver targeted advertisements to the end user and collect general statistics. However, it may also be used for stealing people’s private data.

Adware is divided into parasitical and legitimate applications. Illegal advertising programs are very similar to spyware parasites and often have some of their functions. They can be installed without user's knowledge and start working every time a computer is rebooted. However, they are less dangerous than rogues because the most of such parasites are primarily intended to collect user’s personal information for marketing and advertising purposes. Unfortunately, you can never know what other purposes it can be used for.

Symptoms showing that your computer was infected by LinkSwift:

•  Appearance of annoying pop-up ads
•  Appearance of banners and in-text ads
•  Redirects to unknown and suspicious websites
•  Changes in homepage and default search engine
•  Decreased speed of every Internet browser
