Razy 5.0 ransomware / virus (Improved Instructions)

Razy 5.0 virus Removal Guide

What is Razy 5.0 ransomware virus?

Razy 5.0 virus is yet another money-seeking ransomware

Razy 5.0 virus has been released, and this version of Razy ransomware seems to be spreading in the form of Adobe document. Once the victim attempts to open it, Razy 5.0 malware displays a pop-up saying “Error on PDF file!” and then starts encrypting all victim’s files. Every encrypted file gets its original name replaced with a scrambled string and .razy file extension, which makes it easy to identificate the virus. Meanwhile, the virus displays a program window called “Razy,” which showcases a message saying:

Your computer files have been encrypted. Your photos, videos, documents, etc…
But, don’t worry! We have not deleted them, yet!
You have to pay 10€ PaySafeCard to get the decryption key.
Try anything funny and the computer has several safety measures to delete your files.
You have one chance to enter the PaySafeCard code! Be careful!

Surprisingly, the virus asks for a low ransom payment, however, this does not make the virus any better, and you should not support cyber crime by paying it. It seems that authors of this virus are not as greedy as other cyber criminals, however, as long as there is hope that malware researchers can crack the virus and create a free decryption tool, you shouldn’t pay up. Do not be scared by criminals threats promising to delete your files and remove Razy 5.0 ransomware from the system as soon as you can. For that, we highly recommend using FortectIntego or SpyHunter 5Combo Cleaner software. You shouldn’t try to carry out Razy 5.0 removal manually as this way you can severely damage the computer system by erasing wrong files. It is better to rely on automatic malware removal tool as it makes no mistakes and can completely remove this virus from the system.

Razy 5.0 virus in action

How does Razy 5.0 virus infect the computer?

As we have already mentioned, this virus infects victim’s computer via a safe-looking PDF file. It seems that cyber criminals distribute this malicious file via deceptive email messages, claiming that they are delivering an important document that the victim needs to read immediately. Please be attentive because malicious email campaigns are probably the most efficient way of spreading ransomware nowadays. Many users still fall for crooks’ tricks and open malicious links or attachments and unknowingly invite the ransomware into the system. Just as we have said, once the victim attempts to open the Adobe Acrobat file, the virus displays a message box saying “Error on PDF file!” and in the meantime, starts encrypting all victim’s files. Just to let you know, a proper anti-malware tool can prevent this from happening, so if you haven’t protected your PC with such program already, do it as soon as you can.

How to remove this ransomware from the computer and restore your files?

If you have become a victim of Razy 5.0 ransomware virus, then you have to decide whether you wish to pay the ransom and support cyber criminals or not. Of course, we never tell our readers to pay up; however, in some cases, such small ransom can seem valueless compared to the value of encrypted data. If you decide not to pay the ransom, recover your files from a backup. Before you do that, make sure you remove Razy 5.0 virus first. For that, you should follow instructions provided under this article and start your PC in a Safe Mode first.

How to prevent from getting ransomware

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address.

If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for the server or network manager that needs to monitor connections and activities. VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world.

Recover files after data-affecting malware attacks

While much of the data can be accidentally deleted due to various reasons, malware is one of the main culprits that can cause loss of pictures, documents, videos, and other important files. More serious malware infections lead to significant data loss when your documents, system files, and images get encrypted. In particular, ransomware is is a type of malware that focuses on such functions, so your files become useless without an ability to access them.

Even though there is little to no possibility to recover after file-locking threats, some applications have features for data recovery in the system. In some cases, Data Recovery Pro can also help to recover at least some portion of your data after data-locking virus infection or general cyber infection.
