What is FinSpy?

FinSpy was designed as a legitimate program which was developed and distributed by Gamma International as a law enforcement tool that can be used for monitoring computers and collecting various information. However, it was found that the company started selling it not only to reliable companies and governments, but to the dishonest parties as well. Those third parties are using FinSpy for implementing their illegitimate activities against civilians. According to various security researchers, this program should be categorized as a serious Trojan horse or backdoor because it was noticed that it has ability to bypass anti-virus system and start collecting data about the victim. This program can secretly take control of victim's webcam and microphone, log keystrokes, copy files from the hard disk, record voices over IP chats and so on.
