Onebodybox.com virus. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)
Mco.onebodybox.com: earns money for developers, causes headache for users
Onebodybox.com virus is identified as a browser redirect infection. It does not present its official website, but misleads users to different destinations. After testing its sample, following results were found:
- engages in online monetizing campaign
- cooperates with AdNetworkPerformance adware
- promotes different questionable tools on different browsers
- links to BLPSearch hijacker
- offers to install Search App
- displays Annual User’s Survey pop-ups
Therefore, besides this behavior, it also redirects through multiple random and questionable URL links before landing you to one of the discussed destinations. Hardly you will receive anything beneficial from these sites, thus, make sure you remove Mco.onebodybox.com web objects.
Since the browser infection communicates with a number of shady third party websites, it is recommended to terminate with the assistance of malware elimination tool, such as Reimage or Plumbytes Anti-MalwareMalwarebytes Malwarebytes.
The negative effects of online advertising
This browser plague, OneBodyBox, is one of the samples when online advertising does not only annoy but may lead to a frustration. While more experienced Internet users would easily ignore mco.onebodybox.com pop-ups and promotional users, younger or senior users may indeed believe that their browsing quality would improve if they installed Search App or set BLPsearch.com as the main browsing tool.
Alternatively, tempted with the possibility of winning the lottery, some might fill up the form of Annual Browser Survey only to find out later that the promised services or goods will not be delivered unless they disclose credit card details[1].
In addition, installing the cyber security applications promoted by this hijacker might boost up the risk of getting infected with elaborate malware. Facebook Message virus[2] perfectly illustrates such possibility. Thus, if you noticed Mco.onebodybox.com redirect, take measures not to face further aggravating outcomes.
