Remove ParentalControl ads (Virus Removal Guide) - Free Instructions

Reasons why the ParentalControl software sends you ads

ParentalControl virus targets computer users who have kids and try to protect them from harmful or adult-only content online. This software brags about features that it actually doesn’t have at all, and we immediately spotted some suspicious things about it after visiting its official website. The official ParentalControl website is obviously prepared by someone who doesn’t speak English very well – the description of the program is full of mistakes. The website says that the program is designed to protect personal data, banking credentials[1] and mails, and promises to hide phishing[2], propaganda, and adult content online. Sadly, there is a great chance that these are just empty promises.

However, we wouldn’t recommend choosing this program to protect your children because it obviously looks vague. We have discovered that this program is ad-supported and actually falls into adware[3] category, and its true aim is to deliver sponsored content to computers in the form of pop-ups, banners, in-text and other forms of ads. ParentalControl ads are extremely bothersome and should be blocked immediately. We are afraid that they might contain links pointing to insecure Internet pages[4] and instead of protecting the youngsters it might point them directly to sites that they shouldn’t visit. Therefore, we suggest deleting this questionable program and looking for a better alternative. To remove ParentalControl, we strongly recommend Reimage Reimage Cleaner Intego program. It can delete this adware and other possibly dangerous pieces of software and optimize your computer afterward. If you’re not interested in security programs, scroll down to see manual ParentalControl removal guide.

Questions about ParentalControl ads

ParentalControl virusParentalControl adware starts displaying intrusive third-party ads that can point to dangerous websites instead of protecting the youngsters from dangerous or inappropriate content online.

How could I possibly install this program without realizing it?

This part of the article will help you understand reasons that allowed ParentalControl hijack to happen. You should take into account that all sorts of potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) are distributed the exact same way. Almost all of them travel alongside popular free programs in a software bundle. You can download such bundle from vague file sharing sites or from hazardous third-party Internet pages that are full of download links. Remember that you have to carefully read Privacy Policy and Terms of Use documents each time you encounter a new offer to install a program, and try to inspect all information written in fine-print in software installers because developers of spyware typically do everything to make their programs slip into computer systems legally, tough unnoticeably[5]. To avoid becoming a victim of such unfair software distribution tricks, watch what you install. We suggest choosing either Custom or Advanced software installation option and then deselecting all bonus items added to your download.

Access your website securely from any location

When you work on the domain, site, blog, or different project that requires constant management, content creation, or coding, you may need to connect to the server and content management service more often. It is a hassle when your website is protected from suspicious connections and unauthorized IP addresses.

The best solution for creating a tighter network could be a dedicated/fixed IP address. If you make your IP address static and set to your device, you can connect to the CMS from any location and do not create any additional issues for server or network manager that need to monitor connections and activities. This is how you bypass some of the authentications factors and can remotely use your banking accounts without triggering suspicious with each login.

VPN software providers like Private Internet Access can help you with such settings and offer the option to control the online reputation and manage projects easily from any part of the world. It is better to clock the access to your website from different IP addresses. So you can keep the project safe and secure when you have the dedicated IP address VPN and protected access to the content management system.

Backup files for the later use, in case of the malware attack

Computer users can suffer from data losses due to cyber infections or their own faulty doings. Ransomware can encrypt and hold files hostage, while unforeseen power cuts might cause a loss of important documents. If you have proper up-to-date backups, you can easily recover after such an incident and get back to work. It is also equally important to update backups on a regular basis so that the newest information remains intact – you can set this process to be performed automatically.

When you have the previous version of every important document or project you can avoid frustration and breakdowns. It comes in handy when malware strikes out of nowhere. Use Data Recovery Pro for the data restoration process.
