Wise System Mechanic. How to remove? (Uninstall guide)

Wise System Mechanic – a potentially unwanted program with dubious intents

Picture of Wise System Mechanic

Wise System Mechanic is presented as a legitimate system optimization utility tool. However, it is a potentially unwanted program[1] as it comes bundled with other free software user obtained online. This controversial program comes from hxxp://wisesystemtools.com/ and can also be downloaded officially on the original website.

Once the Wise System Mechanic is installed, it performs a computer scan and advises a user that multiple problems have been found and need to be removed. However, the user is instantaneously prompted with a window which suggests that the licensed version of the program must be bought to eliminate all issues found.

The program developers use social engineering to promote their application and make users believe that their computers are in deep trouble. First of all, it is being advertised as all-in-one utility tool which is incredibly useful, including a registry cleanup, add-on remover and use of a startup manager.

Secondly, problems found by Wise System Mechanic are generally bogus. All system errors, bad registry entries, junk files and similar issues are shown in a manner as if they would play a vital role in computer performance and that PUPs and adware or even malware endanger it.

Most of the files found by this virus are merely outdated registry entries that do not make any difference in system performance at all. Additionally, the program might delete useful system files while trying to make the computer faster. Therefore, there is no need to purchase the full version of this program. Instead, we recommend you to remove Wise System Mechanic using a robust security software as Reimage.

Users who decide to purchase a full version are not only risking losing their money for utterly pointless application but also might endanger their personal details. Wisesystemtools.com creators are using third-parties to handle all the payments made for the purchase. Therefore, all the credit card details are not handled by the company. Please be wise and do not risk your personal data which might be acquired by cybercriminals and used for illegal purposes.

Evidently, the use of this application will not bring you any benefit. There are multiple free programs which can be obtained online, or you can also use built-in tools from Windows developers[2]. For complete Wise System Mechanic removal, check our instructions below this article.

Distribution methods of unwanted programs

As we already mentioned, this dubious application can be downloaded officially on developer’s website. However, in most cases, the questionable program invades users machines with bundling. This technique is used by multiple free software developers worldwide. Despite this tactic being completely legal, we do not think it is entirely courteous, as it tries to monetize on users who are new to computer-related issues.

Therefore, researchers at senzavirus.it[3] advise users being cautious when installing free programs which were obtained from the internet. They should always read full installation instructions and opt for Advanced/Custom settings. Developers of freeware often advise using Recommended/Quick settings so that they can deceive unsuspecting victims and make them install PUPs or adware on their machines. Thus, in advanced mode, make sure to untick any pre-selected checkboxes.
