Search.yourtransitinfonow.com virus image

Search.yourtransitinfonow.com is a fraudulent search engine which offers quick access to transit services as an in-built toolbar on the website. Even though this might seem handy for people who travel a lot, experts note that this potentially unwanted program can take over your regular browser and put your privacy along with PC security at risk.

This browser hijacker spreads on the Internet as Your Transit Info Now extension together with free applications. It can be stealthily infiltrated on your computer and perform specific modifications to your browser settings, such as alter new tab URL, change your homepage or default search engine.

Once it does so, you can notice that every time you open a new window or tab, you are redirected to Search.yourtransitinfonow.com. Even though regular computer users might think that there is nothing wrong with that, be aware that you will not be able to change the parameters mentioned above if you decide to do so.

Search.yourtransitinfonow.com hijack is dangerous since this potentially unwanted program delivers biased search results for its users. In other terms, it fulfils them with sponsored ads to bring more traffic to the affiliate websites. Note that the only part which benefits from such actions are the developers.

Search.yourtransitinfonow.com contrivers earn revenue by applying pay-per-click marketing scheme which takes advantage of naive computer users. Delivered ads might look attractive and offer useful goods or services. However, the genuine looking advertisements might be merely an attempt to lure you into clicking on malware-laden ads[1].

Likewise, we suggest you to stay away from any types of advertisers you might encounter on your frequently visited pages and remove Search.yourtransitinfonow.com for your own safety. Feel free to use the instructions below since they will guide you through the process step-by-step.

Additionally, as we have mentioned before, Search.yourtransitinfonow.com removal might be complicated. Therefore, the best option would be to use a powerful security software like Reimage. This antivirus tool will shorten the time of elimination procedure to several minutes.

Explaining how the browser hijacker managed to sneak into your system without notice

The developers of such unreliable programs are aware that under normal circumstances, their products won't get that much attention from computer users. Likewise, they use an unfair distribution method which is entirely legal — bundling[2]. The potentially unwanted program is bundled together with free application without any warn.

Therefore, people who are not experienced enough, are unable to find the additional browser hijacker which is hidden among the optional components of the program. This happens when they agree to use Quick or recommended settings. These parameters are designed to skip many steps and hide relatively important information.

You can protect your computer prom PUPs if you choose Custom or Advanced options when installing freeware. You should search for pre-selected checkmarks saying “I agree to get Your Transit Info Now” or similar phrases. Note that there are tons of different potentially unwanted programs. Likewise, you should un-tick all boxes which have been selected before if you do not want to suffer from the hijack consequences.

Make Search.yourtransitinfonow.com removal easy

Since we have mentioned before that potentially unwanted programs are able to prevent you from resetting your browser settings to the previous state, you are aware that it won't be easy to remove Search.yourtransitinfonow.com, unless you choose automatic elimination.

It is the best option because you will only need to download the security software (we highly recommend choosing one from the list below) and run a full system scan. The antivirus program will finish Search.yourtransitinfonow.com removal before you even notice it.

However, it is necessary to clean your browser from Search.yourtransitinfonow.com virus components as well. According to NoVirus.uk[3] experts, people tend to confuse legitimate add-ons with the ones which are related to the browser hijackers. Likewise, we advise you to follow the instructions below to make sure that you do it correctly.

You can remove virus damage automatically with a help of one of these programs: Reimage, Malwarebytes MalwarebytesCombo Cleaner, Plumbytes Anti-MalwareMalwarebytes Malwarebytes. We recommend these applications because they detect potentially unwanted programs and viruses with all their files and registry entries that are related to them.
