Avast adware – a dubious program which provides adverts that are related to the Avast antivirus
Avast adware is a PUP which produces numerous ads that support the Avast antivirus program.
Avast adware is a PUP[1] which aggressively displays Avast-related adds. Nevertheless, the security software developers have nothing to do with adware that initiates these promotions. The dubious program infiltrates the system secretly and affects browsers such as Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Edge, Safari. In addition to Avast ads, users can encounter many other negative adware effects, such as rerouting to questionable sites, installing additional browser extensions or plugins, promoting bogus software, and inserting pop-ups into ads-free sites. Such changes can be undone only if the adware-type program vanishes from the computer system.

Symptoms
Numerous pop-ups promoting Avast are showing up, you are facing unwanted redirects, various browser's settings or homepage are modified
You can recognize adware infection from these symptoms:
Intrusive ads disturb web browsing sessions;
Redirects lead you to questionable domains;
Advertisement banners, pop-ups, deals, offers hinder content of every visited site;
Web page loading speed slows down.
Avast adware has one main purpose – to make users purchase the security software. By all means, having security software installed on the PC is vital. However, if you encounter ads promoting it on every site – it can get on anyone's nerves, and we believe that invasive marketing tactics used by adware are not justified. As we already mentioned, Avast (which is a legitimate anti-virus vendor) itself has no connection to the potentially unwanted program.
Moreover, if you click on the provided ads you can start facing redirects to various pages. They might not only take you to the official site that promotes Avast but also to numerous dubious websites that might expose you to malware. To avoid such hazardous activity, you should remove Avast adware from your computer system as soon as you notice it. For such purpose, you can try using FortectIntego anti-malware tool.
To continue, such adware might gather browsing activity-related details such as bookmarks, IP address, and information about your commonly visited sites. In order to avoid such kind of activity, you should perform the Avast adware removal without any hesitation. Adware only seeks to gain revenue, leaving end user frustrated.
Avast adware is an unwanted program that might install into the system secretly. You cannot be 100% secure from adware, but you can reduce the risk of infection
According to IT professionals[2], adware most commonly spreads through a method called “bundling”[3]. Such a dubious program can be established together with regular software. In order to avoid such a result, we recommend selecting the Custom or Advanced section. This will allow you to view a full installation process and withdraw any additional components.
Staying away from bundled software is not enough if you want to avoid adware. You need to stay away from dubious websites and pages as well. They might promote questionable software installation, which is adware-in-disguise. This way, users are tricked into downloading and installing potentially unwanted programs. Thus, do some research before you are ready to install something you have no clue about.
Another piece of advice would be to download and install an antivirus program. Make sure it is always kept up-to-date and working well. If so, the antivirus will scan your computer system and look for any threats that might be present.

How to prevent from getting adware
Stream videos without limitations, no matter where you are
There are multiple parties that could find out almost anything about you by checking your online activity. While this is highly unlikely, advertisers and tech companies are constantly tracking you online. The first step to privacy should be a secure browser that focuses on tracker reduction to a minimum.
Even if you employ a secure browser, you will not be able to access websites that are restricted due to local government laws or other reasons. In other words, you may not be able to stream Disney+ or US-based Netflix in some countries. To bypass these restrictions, you can employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN, which provides dedicated servers for torrenting and streaming, not slowing you down in the process.
Data backups are important – recover your lost files
Ransomware is one of the biggest threats to personal data. Once it is executed on a machine, it launches a sophisticated encryption algorithm that locks all your files, although it does not destroy them. The most common misconception is that anti-malware software can return files to their previous states. This is not true, however, and data remains locked after the malicious payload is deleted.
While regular data backups are the only secure method to recover your files after a ransomware attack, tools such as Data Recovery Pro can also be effective and restore at least some of your lost data.
