The reason why Hepsayfa.com site appears when you launch your browser

Hepsayfa.com virus is a computer infection, which falls into browser hijackers category. It alters system settings to make an identically named website launch everytime the user opens a web browser. This website is dedicated to computer users who speak the Turkish language; it provides a variety of shortcuts to hundreds of different websites and suggests using a search engine, which is placed at the top of the page. If this web page appears in your browser, do not rush to explore its content. Computer security experts warn that links integrated into this site might point users to insecure external sources!

Browser hijackers are mainly intended to cause web redirects and make people visit pre-determined websites by force. Just like Hepsayfa.com redirect virus, such programs change browser settings and urge users to use a specific search engine, which mostly provide sponsored search results. You should know that clicking on these search results generates pay-per-click revenue for authors of the browser hijacker, but can cause redirects to suspicious websites. If you notice that you experience web redirects frequently, it is highly recommended to scan the computer system with a spyware removal tool, for example, Reimage. Visiting unknown third-party websites can lead to various problems because such sites can promote bogus software updates, rogue anti-spyware programs, adware or other browser hijackers, and such programs should not be kept on the computer system if the user wants to keep it free or spyware and malware threats.

Hepsayfa.com hijacker in Chrome

An additional fact that we want to mention is that this browser hijacker collects non-identifiable data such as search queries, clicks, browsing history, and similar information about your browsing activity. Please bear in mind that data like your search queries can contain your personal information. The collected information is then sent to particular servers, analyzed for marketing purposes, and used to present more attractive ads for the user. If you do not want to receive intrusive advertisements during your browsing sessions, or if you do not want to share such information with authors of this browser hijacker, it is highly recommended to remove Hepsayfa.com using the spyware removal software or manually. Such program can detect other suspicious ad-supported programs and malware, too. If you prefer to remove Hepsayfa.com manually, look for instructions below.

How did Hepsayfa.com hijack your computer system?

Hepsayfa.com hijack is an unpleasant occurrence, because it can happen absolutely without user’s knowledge. What is interesting is that in most cases, the user gives the permission to install this hijacker. The authorization can be given by selecting wrong settings to install another software. Please be very attentive while installing free programs that you download from the Internet – they often distribute questionable third-party applications alongside them. To avoid installing such programs, it is advisable to change installation settings by selecting Advanced or Custom option, and then manually deselecting all optional components such as browser toolbars, search tools, weather apps, and similar pieces of software. It is not recommended to install these components because, in most cases, they appear to be nothing but potentially unwanted programs that lack beneficial features.
