Oxoclick.com ads push highly annoying spyware-type programs

Screenshot of Oxoclick.com adsOxoclick.com virus is a suspicious ad-supported program that always connects to oxoclick.com/aff_c?offer_id= domain which then reroutes the user to a specific third-party advertisement. The activity of such adware program[1] is highly annoying and dangerous. The majority of these ads lead to offers asking to install third-party apps, add-ons and similar applications which can put user’s security at risk.

If you have already noticed suspicious activity of Oxoclick in your browser, do not waste any time and take actions to identify and uninstall the program that causes these redirects. Users who decide to ignore these ads and redirects simply agree to encounter more and more of them daily, and that is not a good option to choose. Finally, you or your relatives can end up installing even more potentially unwanted programs advertised via these redirects. Some of the advertised apps include:

In addition, the described program is extremely similar to Syndication.exoclick.com virus, which also causes annoying URL redirections. Both of the URLs throw the victim onto highly insecure pages shamelessly pushing all types of potentially unwanted programs and offers to computer users.

Keeping an ad-supported program that controls your browser only to serve annoying redirects is not a good idea. First of all, it slows down your computer. Second, it most likely tracks your online activities and gathers details such as search queries, ads clicked, programs installed, and even more. You can never know what other types of similar data adware can collect, so we strongly advise you to remove Oxoclick.com redirect virus as soon as possible.

The quickest way to identify and delete the adware serving you these ads is to run a complete computer scan using anti-malware software such as ReimageIntego. If you are willing to try and perform Oxoclick.com removal manually, please read the guidelines we attached at the end of this post.

Oxoclick.com redirect virus brings highly intrusive pop-upsWhen infected with Oxoclick.com virus, the victim experiences never-ending redirects to sites promoting all kinds of spyware-type programs.

Distribution of software that serves annoying ads

Annoying ads do not start appearing on computer’s screen all of a sudden. Usually, users install questionable applications alongside shady free programs they download from the Internet.[2]

  • In order to avoid suspicious software, we suggest choosing Custom or Advanced settings for installation of every new program you decide to place on your computer.
  • Unlike Default or Standard installation settings, Custom/Advanced option provides all necessary data about extra items bundled with the main program. Also, choosing these settings allows deselecting unwanted additions and installing only the programs you actually need.

You can download software bundles from any file sharing website on the Internet. Zondervirus.nl professionals say[3] that these sites tend to offer their own download managers or installers that always advertise optional programs and frequently hide statements about them behind Default/Standard (typically marked as “recommended”) installation options.

Remove Oxoclick.com redirect virus in less than 5 minutes

You do not have to tolerate ads and redirects caused by some suspicious program that you never wanted to install. Therefore, remove Oxoclick.com virus immediately. Sadly, finding the source of infection can be hard, so we usually advise using professional anti-spyware or anti-malware programs.

Of course, there is no rush – you can try and remove the ad-supported computer pest manually as well. However, keep in mind that manual Oxoclick.com removal method requires much more time and patience.

Choose a proper web browser and improve your safety with a VPN tool

Online spying has got momentum in recent years and people are getting more and more interested in how to protect their privacy online. One of the basic means to add a layer of security – choose the most private and secure web browser. Although web browsers can't grant full privacy protection and security, some of them are much better at sandboxing, HTTPS upgrading, active content blocking, tracking blocking, phishing protection, and similar privacy-oriented features. However, if you want true anonymity, we suggest you employ a powerful Private Internet Access VPN – it can encrypt all the traffic that comes and goes out of your computer, preventing tracking completely.

Lost your files? Use data recovery software

While some files located on any computer are replaceable or useless, others can be extremely valuable. Family photos, work documents, school projects – these are types of files that we don't want to lose. Unfortunately, there are many ways how unexpected data loss can occur: power cuts, Blue Screen of Death errors, hardware failures, crypto-malware attack, or even accidental deletion.

To ensure that all the files remain intact, you should prepare regular data backups. You can choose cloud-based or physical copies you could restore from later in case of a disaster. If your backups were lost as well or you never bothered to prepare any, Data Recovery Pro can be your only hope to retrieve your invaluable files.
